Release history for Nexus Telemetry Home

v1.0.5

New

  • Background recording rebuilt on a native engine: daily telemetry sessions record reliably even while Nexus Telemetry sits in the tray, roll over cleanly at midnight, and resume where they left off after a restart.
  • On launch, the app imports the dish’s own recent history, so charts include the minutes before you opened it and short gaps between runs fill themselves in.
  • Latency charts draw an average line over a min-max band, so real trends stay readable instead of vanishing into jitter.
  • Maps are rebuilt on crisp vector rendering served from our own servers: they stay sharp at every zoom level, show place names in your language, and no longer depend on a third party.

Improved

  • The interface goes idle when minimised to the tray, cutting background activity to almost nothing while recording continues at full rate.
  • Charts refresh at the rate data actually arrives, with point density tuned for readability across every time range.

Fixed

  • Recording no longer loses samples while the window is minimised; previously data could be silently dropped by system throttling.
  • The archive shows your full recorded history instead of stopping at the data-retention window.
  • Returning from the tray or another desktop no longer collapses the history view to the last 15 minutes.
  • Swapping between dishes now carries through the whole app: history, peak values, alerts and charts follow the connected dish, and each dish keeps its own records.
  • The power card no longer mixes two different readings into one display.
  • The update panel in Settings now shows release notes correctly and in full, the version badge is legible in light mode, and the “update available” notice opens straight to the About section.

v1.0.4

Fixed

  • The “Release notes” link in settings now opens the correct changelog on the docs site.

v1.0.3

New

  • Manual Location: Set your dish location manually from an interactive map when GPS is unavailable. Coordinates are saved between sessions and used for weather data. A banner prompts first-time users to set their location.

Fixed

  • Subsystem indicators: CADY no longer shows as a warning on V4 and Mini hardware that doesn’t report it. Indicators and their tooltip descriptions now render dynamically based on what the dish actually reports.
  • Snow melt label: Displays “Idle” instead of the raw “UNKNOWN” value when snow melt is not engaged.

v1.0.2

New

  • Display Scale: Added Extra Small (80%) and Small (90%) options, expanding the range below the previous 100% minimum. Useful when system display scale is already set high or on smaller windows.

Fixed

  • Welcome screen: Now scrolls when content exceeds the window height, and Ctrl+/-/0 zoom shortcuts work immediately on launch. Previously, large system text scaling could clip the continue button out of reach.
  • First-run dialogs: Licensing, analytics, and hardware consent dialogs now scroll internally when content is taller than the window, so buttons stay reachable at any text scale.
  • Linux AppImage: App-grid shortcut now points at the AppImage file itself rather than a temporary mount path, so relaunching from GNOME works across sessions. Also refreshes automatically if the AppImage is moved.

v1.0.1

New

  • GPS Hint: Displays a helpful prompt on the map when GPS location is unavailable, guiding users to enable location services in the Starlink app.

Improved

  • Auto-updates: App now checks for updates every hour instead of only at startup.

Fixed

  • Maps no longer flash white when loading in dark mode.
  • Charts correctly handle mode switching between live and archive views.

v1.0.0

New

  • Initial release
